Gunpowder Baptist was established on August 16, 1806 becoming one of the first six Baptist Churches in the state of Maryland. We celebrated the Bicentennial with several events for the community from May 31 through June 4th, 2006.
Gunpowder offers a strong combination of solid biblical teaching and dynamic worship each weekend. Rob Bourcier, our Pastor, delivers the messages based on God's Word. Our Worship Service is held on Sundays at 10:15 a.m., as well as a Bible Study worship service on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m.
Our mission is to help individuals find the forgiveness of sins that only comes through faith in Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to help one another, through the teaching of God's Word, take the next step God would have one take.
Gunpowder Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church and we give to the Cooperative Program.
Gunpowder Baptist is located at the intersection of Middletown Road and Freeland Road in Freeland, Maryland.
